Ruigoord Documentary

Ruigoord is a legalized squat close to Amsterdam, which was established back in the 1970s. This ethnographic documentary dives into the lives of the artists who inhabit it nowadays and the role the place and the community play in their creative process.

About me

Hey hey, I'm Julia Gwioździk, and as my unpronounceable surname suggests, I'm from Poland. I'm a creative with experience in graphic design, video-editing, and social media marketing. 

 

I'm currently based in Amsterdam, but before moving to the Netherlands, I had the opportunity to live in 12 different countries while attending a traveling high school. This background has directly affected how I approach both my life and my creative process. I'm always excited to meet new people, explore new tools, ideas, and places.

 

Besides doing creative work, I'm also a big fan of film, cooking, and politics. I recently finished my Master's degree in Political Communication at the University of Amsterdam, where I focused on media strategies and visual analysis of political social media content.
